When i tried to boot Win2k Prof, during the startup, the BSOD report
an error

0x0000007B (0x81570030, 0xc0000185, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
Inaccesible_Boot_Device. What does this means ? I have checked the
harddrive, it doesn't have bad sectors or even viruses (i reformat and
fdisk). Pls help. Thanks.

Regards,
Daniel

Download a copy of Maxtor Low Level Formatfrom the Maxtor web site
(MAXLLF.EXE). It doesn't really do an LLF in the traditional sense, but it
will write random bits everywhere (including the boot sector). Then fdisk
andd format (making sure you stay within the boot partition recomendations,
BTW).

If that doesn't work, get a copy of Quick Test 2000 or CheckIt, and do a
comprehensive memory, video, I/O and mb check on your system.

I hate to ask "what changed?", but my next two questions boil down to it.
Was Windows 2000 installed and working normally? Was this during or after
setup? As I read it, you started getting this, and in attempt to get beyond
it, you reformatted and fdisked. But I may be assuming too much.

If you reformatted and fdisked, I assume that you are either reinstalling or
restoring. Without more information, I'll suggest you begin at these two
articles: How to troubleshoot "Stop 0x0000007B" error messages that occur
when you run Windows 2000 Setup

Hi Gerry, my harddrive is Fujitsu. FYI, i have another
harddrive(maxtor) installed with Win2k server , if i swtiched to it ,
it can be booted.

Hi Greg, this happened during starting windows (logo) after i first
formatted it. But then everytime i restart it happened.

Daniel
