Install will not complete

I am trying to install Vista RC1 64-bit edition on a different HD as my WinXP
Home installation. The install seems to go fine until the first reboot, where
the computer just goes to a black screen with no activity. I let it sit for a
few minutes to see if it was going to continue, but nothing happens. I can
reboot back to WinXP, but the OS select screen changes so fast that sometimes
have to reboot several times to change the option from Vista to XP. Any idea
what is going wrong?

I am having the exact same problem, installing 64-bit on a different hard
drive, after initial install and first reboot the screen goes black, exactly
the same issue.

Sorry it did not work. Beta software - hopefully they will fix it in the next
build.
