I've downloaded vista rc1 and burned it on to a DVD.
It is 2.52 GB and is an .iso file

Windows Vista Beta does not recognise the file, so how do I install it?

The same way you did "Windows Vista Beta".
You do not merely 'copy' the ISO file to a DVD, you must use a DVD
burning/authoring app to "Burn Image" which makes the DVD bootable with all
necessary files in the proper places.

You burned the *.ISO (Image File) to the DVD. You must use the file and burn
the image of it to the DVD. Simply burning the *.ISO file on to it will not
work.

What is the image of it I use nero to burn so what is an image of an ISO
file. You are right just burning the ISO to a CD doesn't work

Hi,
If that was me responding(there is more than one "Jeff" that posts in
here)
I use a simple;free; iso burner;that I was shown by an MVP.
It's called burncdcc; it's simple; "jeffproof"; and has never failed me.
it's from terrabyte unlimited.
Here's the link; it's about 1/2 the way down the page.

If that wasn't me; well; ya got the link anyway :-)
Jeff
P.S. it let's you control speed too! I set it to 2x or 1x-never failed.

Just use the "burn image to disc" function in your burning software. Keep
it simple, but use the slowest burn speed available.
