Install Probs w/Registry

I had to interrupt (exit out of) the first install of
WinXP because I didnt have time to finish it. When I tried
to start over again the next day, I get the following
error message:
"Setup cannot continue because some necessary information
cannot be accessed in the registry."

This message appears pretty early in the install process
(after I enter the product key, and after it asks me if I
want to get updated setup files or not).

What can I do to start from scratch and reinstall WinXP on
the computer?

Boot from WinXP CD, format drive and start over - hope you didn't have any
data you wanted to save, if so, you'll have to do an advanced installed, and
start a new installation into another Windows directory, say WinNT or
Windows2, etc. Interrupting the windows installation is not a good idea, as
you have seen.
