I'm trying to do a fresh installation of XP Pro. I had
ME. I wiped the hard drive, formatted it, made the set-
up floppies (SP1). When I get to the last disk, I get an
error message : Unmountable Boot Volume. I've already
looked at a couple of Microsoft articles about it, but I
can't use the recommendations because I can't get as far
as the Welcome Screen. When I try to boot up from the
CD, I get a message saying invalid system disk. I had
previously installed it as an upgrade so I know my
computer will run it. I just prefer to install it from
scratch.

Jan, if you have a WinXP Cd then you don't need bootup floppies. Just go
into the Bios and set your Cd drive to be
the first Boot Device. Then you can proceed with the WinXP installation
using the CD.

Maybe a redundant question - but are you setting the computer to boot
from CD? You have to go into the CMOS setup screens and specifically
designate the machine to boot from CD otherwise it will default to the
hard drive or floppy disk.

Consult the computer manual to learn how to do that or post what make
model of computer you have and someone will try to help.

Thanks for both of your replies! I changed the Bios and
now I'm getting a message that it can't find the EULA!!
Arrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!!
