Hi

If a laptop is running Win XP Pro and a user is not having Administrator
privilege, is it possible to set up the laptop (through the registry or
gpedit.msc, etc) so that the user can install printer on his/her own without
Administrator access ??

Very often, our employees are assigned laptops with regular user privilege,
and this can cause support issues when they want to connect their printers
at home (at which point, the setup requires Admin access). How to get
around this ?

Thanks
Steve

AFAIK, there is no really good solution other than to pre-install the
printer drivers by the System Administrator/IT Staff at the office. No
biggie if it means continued productivity of the worker, after-hours.

Thanks
