install or remove programs

every time I try to use install or remove programs in the control panel I get value creations failed" at line 472
really don't really want to reinstall so any thing will help
 
Change to the windows default " Windows XP Style ". If you are using some other
theme, the problem is usually with a file called: shellstyle.dll (included with
most visual styles).
