install.log error

I just purchased a sony pcg-frv31 notebook and I am
trying to un-install certain programs. I am receiving
the following error message
"Could not open install.log file" and it will not let me
remove the program. I am using Windows XP Home Edition.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only way to get around this error is to reinstall that specific program,
then uninstall it.
