Install Failure

I just installed a brand new hard drive and I bought an oem xp home w/sp2.
The install was going fine untill it completed it's initial run and
re-booted. When it rebooted it makes it to the screen where it displays the
microsoft logo and has the progress bar undor it with the blue markers in it.
The blue dots make 2 or 3 passes in the display then they freeze and windows
freezes. I don't get any error messages or anything it just sits on that
screen and does nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Additionally, disable any uneeded devices in bios (system setup) that you
can--integrated sound, integrated network cards. Use a Ps2 mouse and
keyboard rather than usb (and disable usb keyboard settings in bios if
possible)

Use the normal harddrive format during setup (not quick). If the motherboard
has integrated video, and you are using an additional videocard with
integrated turned off, remove the discrete card and re-enable the integrated
video

I agree this may be hardware related or a driver issue. Check the
Setupapi.log, the Setupact.log, and the Setuperr.log files for clues as to
what is causing the hang.
