Hello,
We are having issues with a user trying to access part
of our website and they are required to download a driver
to view the images. If the user is logged on as a
administrator of the domain they can download everything
fine, but if they are not then the download fails.

I am wondering if there is anyway we can get this
download to install on our Windows 2000 pro machine even
if we don't have admin rights. Is there a group that we
can assign the users to, or a way we can pass these
rights through just for this file?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!

There is a user right assignment in security policy for load and unload device
drivers which by default has only the administrators group. You might want to try to
add user to that user right to see if it helps. Keep in mind that a malicious user
may be able to abuse that right, but it is better than giving them administrator
rights. --- Steve
