Install CD on XP

Hi

I have problem installing a genuine version of a CD on XP.
What's the difference between Modified versus Full installination of the CD?

I chose Full but each time until about 96% of the installination process,
the Resident Shield alert of my PC will pop up with the following

Potentially Unwanted Program
Threat name: Adware Generic VRD

Options: Move to Vault, Ignore, Exceptions, Cancel

Which option shall I select to install the program?
Thank you

And the name of the program is? Use the modified or custom install so
you can choose what you want to install rather than just going for the
"full" install.

You forgot to tell us the name of the program. That's important information.

Your security program is saying that the Mystery Program is trying to
install adware (spyware) and preventing the install. It's doing its job. If
you know the program has adware and you are willing to live with that to
run the program, then install with your antivirus off and afterwards make
an exclusion for the program. This is not something I would recommend. It
would be better to find another program that does what you want without
putting cr*p on your computer. It's your choice, of course.
