Install 3M touch application

Hi, when I install, it gives me

"mtsinstall2kdll not found"

Then I tried on another machine with the full XP (or 2000).

Then I see mtsinstall2k.dll is on the temp directory created by the
setup.exe for 3m touch install program when I start the install.

So I copied this dll to system32 or c: or local directory, and changed the
registry to "find dll local first".
but still get the same message.

Then I tried to register this dll using regsrv32 But it just says,
"loadlibrary("C:\mtsinstall2k.dll)failed - The specified module could not be
found")

It seems to me it is missing a module for loading/registering the dll files.

I do have regsrv32. Any one has seen any similiar situation?

I know in the full XP it installs fine. So I need find out which component
is missing,

Have you already tried the 3M component from www.xpefiles.com?

I think the question is not to install the driver, but could not start the
setup.exe.

This is an application that could not get installed after FBA.

I have not tried other drivers yet.

I understood your quesion. Unfortunately, can't help you with that since
don't have the installer here.

Anyway.. the issue is known and has been discussed in the NG. For you the
way to go seems to be only componentizing the driver (or use the component
from www.xpefiles.com as I mentioned).
