When using the left shift key for CAPS or secondary alphanumeric functions it
leaves a "ghost" cursor behind like this----> |||||||| any ideas how to stop
this or why it does this?

|Hi |Ron,
|As you can see it happens |ALL the time |I use the left shift key in |ANY
program any website textbox, message boards, email, whereever |I enter text.

|I just upgraded to a new machine,gatewayGT5414E,with |Vista home premium.

Being that its a new machine and a new OS for me,I'm not sure which is the
cause of this irritation?I only figured out that its only the left shift key
yesterday as I was signing up for these forums, but its been doing it right
out of the box,2 weeks now.

I'm a 2 finger typer and have developed the habit of using that particular
key for caps so its a bit annoying.

I've been searching for similar problems from others but really havent
found anything like this ,plenty of other cursor bugs but not the exact
thing.

I was half wondering if its somthing like a cap lock on that i just didnt
know about that someone who does alot of word processing might be able to
address for me, or is it a bug,or is it just this machine?

Open Control Panel and double click Regional and Language Options. Click the
Keyboards and Languages Tab/Change Keyboards Button.

In that dialog box, make sure that the proper keyboard for your location is
selected. If it is not, click the Add button and select the proper keyboard
from the menu. Make sure that it is placed at the top of the selected
keyboard list.

Also, in the Location Tab, make sure that your country is selected there.

If this doesn't work, the only thing I can suggest is to obtain another
keyboard and see if this fixes the problem.
