inserting video strip to a page

I have inserted a video strip to a web page using FrontPage 2000. I set it
up to open when the page is opened. When I preview the page prior to
uploading to the web site, it it plays fine. When I publish it to my web
site it does not open or play. I have followed the steps for inserting a
video strip outlined in the FrontPage 2000 help list.

Can you post a URL so we could see if there are any issues in the HTML code?

With a URL we'd be able to give you a good answer.
here's a couple of possibilities;
the actual video file didn't make it up to the server.
the file type isn't known to the server.
the other day a relative asked me to put her TV commercial on her site and I
used FrontPage for the edit/ publishing (other software for dealing with the
video) and it worked great locally, on the server it didn't.
turns out the server didn't know what a .fla was so it wouldn't feed it to
the flash file that plays it.
worked great once the MIME type was set for FLA:

no problem!
here's the issue, the link to your video is this:
http://www.firstrhodeisland.150m.com/My Videos/Williamsburg2006/MOV01040.MPG
it's not in "my videos"/...
solution;
open your local site, hit file/ import/ file, browse to that video and
import it into your current site.
open your "members" page, click the movie you embedded into the page and
change it to reflect the video within the web you're working on.
next, publish the page (just right click it in folders view and hit "publish
selected file", do the same with the movie and you're done. ;-)
