Inserting svcd clip into a powerpoint presentation

I can insert a vcd into a powerpoint presentation but it is very grainy and
at times fails to play through the projector. To get a clearer picture I
convert DVD clips tp SVCD's but these will not play in the presentation. I do
not know which converter programme is compatible with the Powerpoint
producer. Can anyone tell me?

The safest option is to convert to a .wmv and insert that format. There are
several conversion applications out there that should do the job.
