Inserting movie (mpeg) clips in PowerPoint 2003?

G

Guest

I created a number of PowerPoint presentations using the ME operating system and PowerPoint 2002. At that time I was able to easily insert and run mpeg movie clips in the presentations without any problems whatsoever. Since then, I have upgraded to the XP Professional OS and to PowerPoint 2003. Now I cannot run nor insert the movie clips into PowerPoint. Everytime I try, it pops an error that PowerPoint has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. Any help would be greatly appreciated

update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for

Hello,

When the application crashes are you given the opportunity to report the
crash to Microsoft? If so, there's valuable details in that dialog which,
if shared in this newsgroup, might help us to track down the root cause of
your problem by searching the database of similar crash reports from other
customers.

When the crash occurs and the dialog comes up for reporting the crash:

1) Click on "What data does this report contain?"
2) Note down the following information (if available)

* Application Name:
* Application Version:
* Module Name:
* Module Version:
* Offset into module:
* Function name Fragment:

6) Click "Close"
7) Click "Send Error Report

If you post the information noted in step 2 above to this newsgroup, I
might be able to verify whether or not this is already a known issue.
