inserting excel charts on PowerPoint

I am helping a collegue on a PowerPoint presentation. The PowerPoint versiopn
is that of 2003. This file has Excel graphs and charts which can be viewed
properly using other computers but the charts will not show when using a
particular laptop though the laptop has PowerPoint 2003. We tried downloading
PowerPoint viewer and it works on the same laptop. When viewing the file on
"Normal View", the charts can not be seen. there is a small red "x" on the
upper left corner. Clicking that brings out that chart / graph but will not
show when doing the slide show. please help!

Try to check if you have paste the excel chart just an ordinary paste or need
to be special paste or possible that your chart is link to the excel chart
you need to copy
the excel file together with the powerpoint file. Hope this helps.
