Inserting checkbox form field without the brackets

M

Michael Pompey

When inserting the checkbox form field, I'm getting brackets "[ ]"
around the check box. Is there anyway to turn these off? If so, where
do I do it? I've searched and searched and can find no documentation
for the "feature".

I am assuming that these brackets do not print. If this is correct, what you
are seeing are bookmark indicators. Word automatically makes a bookmark each
time you insert a new formfield from the Forms toolbar.

You can turn the viewing of these off using Tools => Options => View and
unchecking bookmarks.

Hope this helps,
