inserting check-mark in a cell

I have seen excel spreadsheets that have "check-mark"
symbol in cells. I have been unable to find a simple
checkmark in the excel program.

Anyone know where to find it/how to do it?

Hi melody

If the Cell font is Wingdings2 you can use the uppercase P

Melody -

Go to View, Toolbars and select the Forms toolbar. There
is a check-mark box there that you might be able to cut
and paste. The 'x' key in Wingdings gives you an x in a
box.
