Hello,

Do you mean in slideshow view? I would suggest perhaps that you can't.
However, if you run on separate monitor's you may be able to edit the
presentation on one monitor while showing the presentation on a different
one.

You can use Shortcuts for PowerPoint add-in
(http://officeone.mvps.org/ppshortcuts/ppshortcuts.html) to do this as
follows:
1. In PowerPoint, select "Tools" | "Customize Shortcuts..." menu item.
2. Locate and select "Shortcuts for PowerPoint" category.
3. Locate and select "Insert new slide (current layout)" command in that
category.
4. Assign a keyboard shortcut in the "Assigned shortcut to command" box.
5. Click OK button.

Now when you press the assigned key combination during slide show, a new
slide will get added after the current slide.

Well, that sounds like what we're looking for. Except we use Office 2007 now
and that's why we can't find it. How would I find exactly what you just
said, but minus the "Tools" drop-down menu and so on--because in Office 2007
you don't get drop-down menus. Please, please tell me you know the answer to
this Chirag!

Well, that would be under "Add-ins" which is under "PowerPoint Options"
correct? I'm not seeing it. Hmm... I'm confused.

I'm going to start over here...

In older versions of PowerPoint (i.e., 2003), you could add a New Slide from
Slide Show View. Meaning, you could either use a keyboard shortcut OR you
could use the menu in the lower-left corner of the slide to insert a New
Slide directly following the slide you were currently on. In 2007, there is
no option for this in the menu in the lower-left corner of the slide (during
Slide Show View) and there is no shortcut for this either. Or, if there is,
it is very--VERY--hidden.

So, I suppose the question could be... where is it the option for clicking
in the Slide Show View? Or how can I create a keyboard shortcut?

I notice that while out of Slide Show View, you can insert a New Slide by
pressing "Ctrl + M." But, when you enter Slide Show View, it appears they
have made it impossible to achieve this goal.

So, let us start from here... because we've had no luck with previous posts.
And I recognize, that perhaps I wasn't specific enough.

Help, please?
