I have a client running PowerPoint 97 or 2000, I can't remember. They want to insert a video clip into their powerpoint presentation. I have two questions:

1. Is it possible in these versions of Powerpoint?
2. How do you do it?

Thanks.

Yes.

Insert/Movies and Sounds/From File

I have windows 2oo3 professional running on windows xp. I tried step 2 below.
My movie dvd is in drive D. When I select drive D in the pop-up box, it
displays two files: AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. I click on VIDEO_TS and it moves
to the top box Look-in: and nothing appears in the window below. There is no
file name. When I just use Windows Media Player to play the DVD, it only
shows title1 and when I click on that, it shows Chapter 1. What do I do now?

Ah, you're trying to insert a video DVD file into PPT. I don't know that you
can insert a VOB file (which is what's on the video DVD).

You might try ripping the VOB to an MPEG. Or maybe see

A VOB file ripped from a DVD is MPEG2. You need an MPEG2 decoder to play
it. If you have that, you may be able to rename to mpg and insert into PPT.
