Moving powerpoint and video files

Ernesto

I added video clips to my powerpoint and i'm trying to move my presentation
to another computer. Since the pptx file doesnt include video files like
images I need to move the clips too. But when i do that, the powerpoint looks
for the video files in the same location before i moved it. So when i move
the powerpoint with the clips to another computer, i have to go into
powerpoint and reinsert all the video clips. Is there any way around this?

Hi,

Load the clips in the same directory as your presentation. When you build it
make sure your videos are in the same directory as the presentation before
you insert them. There is more information here:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or
email a presentation

Well, the reason is that:
Movies and videos are linked to PowerPoint presentation, when you
Email the PowerPoint presentation, the linked music will not be shown.
Solution 1:
1. Put the video files and the PowerPoint presentation in a same
folder.
2. Reinsert the video file to the PowerPoint presentation.
3. Package the entire folder into one archive file and send it to
others.

Solution 2:
Convert your PowerPoint presentation to Flash use some third party
presentation tools, PPT2Flash http://snipurl.com/ppt-swf , for
instance. It can help you create Flash-based presentation with all the
original effects retained. Of course, all the video files will be
embedded in the presentation. You can send the Flash-based
presentation to other computers.
