Inserted Sounds play once only

I'm using PowerPointXP and trying to insert audio
narration files into a presentation. The files are WAV
format. I choose INSERT/MOVIES AND SOUND/SOUND FROM FILE/
and select the WAV file. The speaker icon shows on the
slide frame and I answer yes to play automatically. I can
play the audio by right clicking on the speaker - but
only once! If I move the file off the slide, it stops
playing also. Any idea what is happening?

Are you trying to play the sound in edit mode or show mode?

Both! The problem affects both modes.

Check your animation settings on the sound. In Effect Options (or
Timing?), there are options for playing the sound for more than one
slide. Is that what you're after?
