insert signature manually

Hi there,

I switched to Outlook 2003 and can't insert a signature manually. The help
says:

1. In the open message, click where you want to insert the signature in
the message body.
2. On the Insert menu, point to Signature, and then click the signature
that you want.

.... but I do not have "Signature" in my Insert menu just like I did with my
previous Outlook version. Where did it go? how can I add a signature manually?

Hi Jim
You can go to the Tools menu, Select Options, then click on the "Mail
Format" tab, down at the bottom you should see a button called "Signatures"
you are right though...within a new message I dont get the option of
inserting a signature either ...

I think you use Word as an e-mail editor. Then it´s not in Inset menu.
Look in toolbar which start Send -button. On that row, there is button
Options and behind that there is Signature.

Thank you Paukkule, you spotted it right. I got oulook coming set up by
default with Word as an editor. I switched it off and back to normal.

As you found out, these are the instructions for signatures when using the
built-in Outlook editor to compose your mail. The instructions for how to
use signatures when using Word as your editor can be found here:
