Insert "Live" webpages into presentation & annoying ActiveX error / popup

Hi.

I want to be able to pull some "live" data into a presentation. This
presentation will then display on a number of big displays around my office.

I've found various references for an addin, LiveWeb:
http://skp.mvps.org/liveweb.htm

Which works really well (I'm using Office/PowerPoint 2003)

HOWEVER

When I open the presentation, I'm treated to:

"This application is about to initialize ActiveX controls that might be
unsafe. If you trust the source of the document, select Yes and the control
will be initialized using your document settings."

I want / need to stop that warning message as it stops me scripting the
system.

I've Googled and found a variety of MS pages with "workarounds"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827742/

and

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817112/

But nothing on those pages work, and in one case of the latter,
8. Expand the Administrative Templates branch, then expand the
Microsoft Office 2003 branch.
9. Click Security Settings, and then click Unsafe ActiveX
Initialization.

That option does not exist in the ADM file I downloaded.

This is driving me batty!

Help.

David.

Hello,

I am having the same problem as David. I am using the Liveweb tool to
insert a link to my website which displays constantly changing information.
The presentation runs on a large screen at the reception - the bad part is,
at the start of the presentation I have to always click on yes to initialize
the activex controls highlighted in the following message...

"This application is about to initialize ActiveX controls that might be
unsafe. If you trust the source of the document, select Yes and the control
will be initialized using your document settings."

I am also using the Swiff Point Player add-in to insert flash into the
page, I noticed that the message above refers to both add-ins. By clicking
yes, flash and html are both displayed correctly.

Please help me out with this. David, if you did find the solution - please
post it here.

Best regards,

Minesh

PS: OS Windows XP Home SP2
Powerpoint 2003

If I *ever* find a solution, I'll let you know. I must admit, I'm very
surprised that there's only the two of us trying to achieve this aim on the
whole planet ;-)

David.
