I hope this doesn't sound like and FAQ issue. If it does, please forgive me.
I have a website the is running IIS and has FrontPage server extensions 2002
on it. Everything is good with it. I have been trying to upload a file (i.e
word document, pdf File). I'm able to create the page and test the uploading
capability.
I set the permissions on the directory, where I want to place the files to
read/write. When I test, I find the file that I'm looking for and from what
I can see, the page that I created, is reading the file off my local hard
drive and transferring it to the server.
So when the data transfer is complete, I get a message back that says that
the page contains no data. I then check the directory where I want to place
the file and there is no file there.
I talked to my service provider and they suggested that I use "Upload Files
with HTML Forms and Pure ASP," dated October 2001. I have tried that a bit
on my local machine and it seems like it hangs and ends up in an endless
loop. I will look closer at it and pair it down to what I want to use.
So can someone help me to get my file uploaded using either the FrontPage
File upload or another way to allow annoymous users to upload files.
Thanks for your help
Terry
