G grammatim Nov 7, 2008 #2 Do you mean the key on the keyboard labeled "Insert"? If you use that, you switch on and off the "Overtype" mode. Or, in the Options, there's a place you can check for "Use Insert Key for Paste." Is that what you want to do?
