Insert complete doc into report w/o losing formatting?

What is the best way to insert another Word document into my Word 2000
report without losing the formatting of the inserted doc, or having the
formatting of my report affected by the inserted doc? Should I sandwich it
between Section Breaks?

See the IncludeText tutorial at http://addbalance.com/word/download.htm.
A separate section can maintain your margins and headers/footers but if the
text is being formatted differently, you have to learn about styles and how
to apply them. You'll need the text in the two parts formatted using
different styles. http://addbalance.com/usersguide/styles.htm

Yes. You'll need to insert a section break at the end of the file to be
inserted and another at the point in the target document where you plan to
insert it. Make sure that the section break at the end of the inserted file
is included in the selection if you copy (it will be included automatically
if you use Insert | File). Note that this will preserve your page layout and
related formatting but will not preserve styles unless they are unique to
the inserted document.
