I was trying to change from "true color" to high color on
my desktop and the screen went black showing "Input not
supported". Can't reboot, and I have shut the entire
system off numerous times and each time I turn it back
on - the same thing appears. Thanks in advance for any
help you can provide.

What may have happened is that despite telling you your graphics card did
not support the higher color and resolution it went ahead and chaged it
anyway. So now each time you come back in you get a black screen.

Try booting to safe mode, that just uses minimum resolution and you should
be able to get to your monitor/grahics card settings to change them.
