Inline Spelling

I am using a stand-alone version of Outlook 2007 on Vista and I cannot get
inline spell checking to work. When I go to Options > Spelling > Spelling
and AutoCorrection the bottom section that is titled "When Correcting
Spelling in Outlook" is grayed out and I cannot change the options. Outlook
auto spell checks before I send, but I get no underlines when I type the
message. What must I do to correct this?

it doesn't work in the standalone version. if only outlook is open (no
message windows) you can change the settings - but it makes no diff.

Thats a drag. Is this a bug or a feature? I would have thought that feature
for feature MS would try to beat Thunderbird in their flagship email product.

it's normally a limitation of the outlook editor, but I thought that with
the advent of only word as the editor, that it would work. Until I tried it.
:(
