Infrared class incoming/outgoing

Hi,

I am looking at trying to capture infrared remote control signals and
control my audio/video equipment with my computer. All via C#.

Does anyone know of a few simple c# classes that could work with a standard
USB infrared stick for example?

I have found a few articles but nothing really concrete.

You could build an IR transceiver rather cheaply (less than $5) and you
could use the serial port component/control in VS2k5 to do anything you
wanted.
