I have no connection between my mobile phone (Nokia 6610

everything is installed correctly.

please can anyone shine a light on this for me
as I haven't got a clue what to do.

Do you have infrared hardware on the pc? Specs, please.

Though I have not used th IR port on my Dell Inspiron 8000,
I have seen settings in the BIOS for it that are disabled
by default. To enter your BIOS, there is usually a promt
for what key(s) to hit to enter SETUP. It's usually either
F2 or ESC, or DELETE. If it has no prompt, than at the
logo screen, try CTRL + SHIFT + ESC. When in the BIOS
settings, look around in the various menus until you find
Infrared Data Port. Upon bootup, you will see it in the
Windows Device Manager.

On clicking this last header, if the Rt. page is blank, you are out of luck!
