Info for HP, Lexmark and Dell users

If you refill, or buy remanufactured cartridges for the above
printers(newer models), don't install updates sent by the
manufacturers for your printer. These updates inactivate the
cartridges, then you will be forced to buy new OEM to get the printer
going again. There is a forum of professional refillers working on a
fix for anyone that has updated there printer drivers or firmware. We
are trying system restores to before the update was installed, and a
few other ideas. If you wish to keep up on this info, please feel free
to visit www.imagerzone.com we are in the "ink" section.

I think you mean relabelers and I do not think they are very professional.

I wonder if that is legal. It seems to me it is causing wanton damage
to property owned by another through software, and that there is already
legislation in some countries against that.

I do not know about Lexmark and Dell, but the above claim is entirely false
for HP.
