"Infinite Loop" Video Hangs - Geforce2 MX200 + MSI 645 Ultra

When I run games using Direct3D or DirectDraw - i.e. Age of Empires 2,
or Simcity 4 - they always hang for 1 minute, then this error comes
up: "Microsoft Windows detected and recovered from a device failure.
Please save your work and reboot to restore full functionality." When
I click OK, I get dumped to a 640*480, 16 color desktop.

After restarting, Windows warns me that "the system has recovered from
a serious error" and that "NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 appears to be
responsible for the instability." I looked in the Event log and found
an entry, from source: "nv4" with description: "The driver nv4_disp
for the display device \Device\Video0 got stuck in an infinite loop.
This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the
device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with
your hardware device vendor for any driver updates."

I have Pentium 4 1.8 GHz, and 512 MB memory, on MSI 645 Ultra
motherboard with SIS 645 chipset. I have Windows XP Home. Please
advise!

With nvidia, youre best bet is to remove it in add/remove,
then go to device mgr.and R.click it in display adapters,
select,uninstall,reboot computer.On desktop,open windows
update, let it install nvidia drivers for you.
