infected emails

I have been recieving emails w/the "swen" wrom as an
attachement. I have all of the ms updates for security,
and security updates for outlook express6, and firewall,
anti-virus w/ auto updates. This has been going on since
the middle of Sept. Last week,I cancelled my internet
account to get rid of this unwanted mail. I went back on
line today and I am still recieving email to my old
account and I thinkit is coming in on the new account
also. Please help me out someone.

Debbie,

There is not much you can do about this. These virus/worm files propogate
by scanning the infected user's computer for e-mail addresses and then
sending out copies of themselves. You can use Rules in Outlook Express to
automatically delete these e-mails as they arrive, or delete them from the
server based on specific words and/or phrases.

One thing you should NOT do is use your real e-mail address in newsgroup
posts. That just invites spammers and virus spreaders to invade your inbox.
