Indicator that ink is low in the printer

There used to be an indicator in the lower right-hand
corner of my screen that would flash onto the screen
advising that the ink was low in my printer.

This no longer appears.

How do I set up my computer to re-establish that
indicator letting me know when the ink is low in the
printer?
