indexing in PowerPoint?

I guess PowerPoint will never have an indexing utility. But maybe there is
a third party tool that will let me index multiple PowerPoint files? I am
looking for something like the indexing capability of FrameMaker.

I have done this with Acrobat Writer. You have to install this software, then
in powerpoint save it like PDF File. Then in Acrobat you may merge all the
files that you may need or select only specific slides.
