Hiya
I've recently been upgraded at work to XP and have noticed some large
jumps in file sizes.
For instance, I have an Excel file, made up of just 4 worksheets with
alpha-numerical information, with some formulas. Before XP, it totalled
no more than 2MB.
Each month, I re-save the file with that month as it's new name, do some
work on it, and that's it until the following month. The first time I
did this after my upgrade, I found this file had leapt to 8MB, with
probably less info now on the 4 sheets. The next time I re-saved it, it
had gone up to 13MB! Yet, if I split the 4 worksheets into their own
file, guess what? They total about 2MB, just like my original pre-XP file.
Colleagues have noticed it too, with other Excel files and also Word
documents.
Does XP do something to increase file sizes?
