My custom dictionary can not hold more than about 25 words. I would like to
add many more. How do I increase the size of the custom dictionaries?

Hard to understand 'cause custom dicts are simply saved as text files
(actually .dic, but basically the same thing) &, AFAIK, there is no limit on
number of words imposed by the program. Even if there is it is far more than
25 words.

If you can't add to it through Word, you should be able to go to

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Proof
(path on your system may be different)

and open the file directly from there to edit it using NotePad or any text
editor.

Could disk space be an issue? Perhaps one of the MVPs has some insight.

The capacity of the custom dictionary is far greater than that. Are you
getting an error message that the dictionary is full? See “You receive an
