custom dictionary not staying checked as default

Hello- I have a user at my facility that can not add words to her custom
dictionary on a specific PC. When she right clicks on the red underlined
word, the "add to dictionary" is grayed out. When I go into her custom
dictionary (CUSTOM.DIC), it is not checked or marked as the default. I
checked her language on it under modify and it is set to All languages. When I
put a check mark into the box for the custom dictionary, exit and then come
back, the default setting/checkmark is gone again.
Is this a word issue or do you think it might be a user permissions
issue specifically to this PC? When this user accesses from a different PC in
our facility, she can add to her custom dictionary.

Thanks!

Check the permissions for the folder in which Custom.dic is stored.
Typically a disabled 'Add to Dictionary' command means the folder is set to
Read Only.
