Incorrect Partition

A friend of mine installed XP over 98SE and chose to wipe
everything and make it NTFS. He chose to set up a
Windows partition and now has a very small part of the
hard drive available. He can see both paritions, but he
can't get them combined. I thought you were able to
combine two drives through the Disk Manager, but neither
of us can seem to figure out how to do it. If anyone can
help, we'd appreciate it.
