Incorrect number of processors shown

Rob

I've built a Windows 2000 Server on an IBM X365 with 4
processors. I then used Ghost 7.5 to create an image of
the server. I then deployed that image to another server
X365 except it has only two processors. Windows is
reporting that the new server has four processors. I've
hacked the regisry to remove any referance of four
processors but after reboot the reporting of four
processors is still there. How can I correct this
reporting problem?

Thanks,

If hyperthreading is turned on in BIOS, it should report four processors,
two physical and two virtual. What happens if you turn off HT?

Best regards

Thanks, that works. Will it lower performance. There is a
warning dialog stating that it will be turned off on all
processors.
