i HAVE BEEN USING ACCESS 2007 FOR ABOUT A YEAR. (UPDATED FROM 2003) JUST
RECENTLY MY NEW ORDER RECORDS ARE BEING FILED BACK AT A PREVIOUS DATE - E.G.
IF I ENTER AN ORDER TODAY, IT WILL BE FILED IN AMONGST ORDERS FROM ABOUT A
MONTH AGO. SUBSEQUENT ORDERS ARE THEN FILED FROM THIS DATE FORWARDS. HOW CAN
I CORRECT THIS AND STOP IT HAPPENING?

If you mean that the records are not in order by date, then you need to know
that you must specify a sort order for the records. If you don't then you
have no guarantee of what the presentation order will be.

You can not. Records are stored in a table like a barrel of bricks.

Use a sort in a query or for a report use the report Sorting and Grouping to
display the records in the sequence you desire.

technically, you _CAN_.
it's called a clustered index in SQL Server.

If Jet doesn't fit your needs-- dont think twice- just move to a
database that fits your needs
