Click the paper clip to add an attachment to the email you're creating.
Click the flag to set the emails priority. Personally I think prioritized
email is a total nuisance. Most people don't prioritize, thank goodness.
Torch? beats me. Ask someone else.
In an email that you send, you can only specify the Priority (!), there are
3 settings - High - Normal - Low
The paperclip indicates an attachment to an incoming message
The flag indicates that you flagged it.
right-click on the "From" header, and select "Columns" to see which columns
are available.
I have opened a new post (above) as no one seems to know how to get a
descriptive list of all the icons possibly shown in Windows Mail. MS should
have provided this in HELP or a dropdown box in Mail. Why bother having icons
if the users don't know their meaning?
The icons are pretty much the same in any email program....
right-click on one of the column headers (where it says "Subject") and
select "Columns..." to see what is available.
flag = mark (flag) certain messages you want to stand out.
paperclip = attachment
! = priority marked by sender
eyeglasses = watch/ignore
That's a good question. MS was never good with Help files for OE and they
just removed the one they had when they went to WinMail. And they never
finished WinMail, as you can tell.
