Incoming connection

I have a tower running XP Pro and a laptop running XP Home. Both are
connected to the internet through a D-Link DI-604 router. The internet
connection is a 3 meg VDSL line. I have set up an incoming connection with a
US Robotics 56K modem, when away from home, I dial into the modem with the
laptop, and I can access the shared folders on the tower just fine, I can
also "see" my shared printer on the dial-up connection, but I can not access
my internet connection via dial-up. Is there any way to fix this problem?

You may want to uncheck "Use default gateway on remote network".

This is very strange!! I unchecked the " use default ...." box and it didn't
help. So I put the check back. I was using the call back option on the
incoming connection, so I disabled this option and connected from the laptop
to the tower, all worked as it should, I could see my shares and use the
internet connection on the tower. Next I re-enabled the callback option and
called from the laptop to the tower, the tower called the laptop and now,
everyhting works, I can see my shares and connect to the internet. No changes
to anything from when it failed to when it worked, just disabling and
re-enabling callback. Any explanations ??
