Assuming your Yahoo account is a free one, you can't use it in Windows Mail.
You can, however, set up a Hotmail account by using the following settings:
http://mailcall.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!CC9301187A51FE33!49799.entry

Note: Windows Mail's new account wizard is hard-coded to reject Hotmail
addresses. So, when you enter your email address initially, give it a fake one,
such as (e-mail address removed). After the account setup is complete, go back
to Tools, Accounts, select that account, click Properties, and correct the
email address.

Another option is to download and install Windows Live Mail. It was
designed to work with Hotmail accounts, so you don't need any special tricks,
nor do you need to give it the mail server names:

You didn't answer my question about what kind of Yahoo account you have.
What you do is click the links I provided. If you have a paid Yahoo Plus
account, click the "POP Yahoo! Mail Plus with Another Email Client" link, it
will take you to a Yahoo page with the names you want. For Hotmail, click
the Hotmail link for the names you need and follow Gary's advice. When you
are finished, you will have two different email accounts with completely
different server names for each.
