Include a programme in startup for XP Home SP2

Hi,
During startup an icon is placed on the desktop for my internet conection
(Dr SpeedTouch) once the system fully boots I have to click on this icon, and
then click on "start" to start the internet connection.
How can I configure the system to start this programme automatically at
startup, rather than just place the icon on the desktop?
I have looked through previous posts, but the replies seem to refer to XP
professional, and not XP home
Thank you

Hello,

I think, XP Home has the Startup folder in the Start menu, so you could just
put your link to the program there.
(Start -> All programs -> Startup)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, XP Home does have a Startup folder in the Start Menu.
How do I include a shortcut in this folder I have tried drag and drop, but
this just puts the shortcut in the Start folder not the Startup folder

Thanks

<SNIP>

Start > Programs > Startup
Right-click on Startup and select "Open"
From the top menu bar, File > New > Shortcut
(Or simply drag and drop the icon into this folder).
Close the box.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply it works fine.
Can you control the order in which the programmes load, when the system is
switched on?
Thanks again
