See Sonia's reply if you need to see cm on the ruler and so on.

If you simply need to enter measurements for shape sizes and so on, you can
generally enter XXcm (where XX = your measurement in cm)

For example, in the formatting dialog, Size tab, enter 2.54cm as the width for
a shape and click OK. When you come back to the dialog box, it will show 1"

ok, heres a problem

what about a 2000 PP system that needs to change from cm to inches, but that whole process u just described already had US chosen for the measurement...??? -please email me (rather then just reply to this post)at: (e-mail address removed). I do not believe that I will be back on here, so if you could do that, I'd appreciate it

Email doesn't work in Newsgroups. The intent here is that the full
conversation be publicly viewable so that all can learn from the
information. Anyway, Steve has responded to your post.
