Inbox shows new mail, there isn't any. how to remove.

In outlook 03, my inbox shows I have a certain # of unopened e-mails when I
do not have any un opened. How do I correct this?

Do you have any active messages filters? If so, your "unopened" messages may
have been automatically moved to a folder other than your Inbox.
