INbox Repair Tool?

My inbox crashed and will not let me access the folder. It says that it is
unable to display the folder and tells me to use the inbox repair tool. What
is that and how do I find it. There is no reference to this tool in the
Outlook help menu. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. All other
menus work such as Deleted items, calander, contacts, etc.

Howdy,

Use your Search tool (outside of Outlook) to see if you have
a file on your system called SCANPST.EXE.

If you don't have it, you can probably locate it on the web
via Google...

Once you have the file, launch it. It will attempt to repair
any PST file you point it to. (The PST file is where your
Inbox data live.)

%CommonProgramFiles%\System\MSMAPI\1033\Scanpst.exe for English versions of
Office.
